J. David Armstrong, Jr.

Doctor

Mr. David Armstrong has over 33 years of experience as a state and national leader in the field of higher education and economic development. In particular, he has held positions as a higher education consultant, international educator, investor, board member, and volunteer. He is the honorary, retired president of Broward College, one of the largest and most diverse institutions in the United States. Additionally, he is the co-chair of the Lauderdale Alliance Six Pillars Economic Council, co-chair of the Broward Economic Council focused on homelessness, and serves on the board of the Broward Community Foundation, as well as the International Scholar Exchange Program (CIES) committee under the Fulbright Scholar Program. Furthermore, he is a senior executive search consultant for the Association of Community College Trustees, assisting boards in the recruitment and selection of Chief Executive Officers (CEOs). He is also a former president of Leadership Florida.

Dr. Marielena DeSanctis

Doctor

Dr. Marielena DeSanctis currently serves as the Principal and Senior Vice President of the Office of Education and Student Support at Broward College. Prior to her work at Broward College, she was the Executive Director of Curriculum for the Broward County Public Schools, Principal of Fort Lauderdale High School, and Assistant Principal of South Plantation High School. She has been a committee member and leader of several organizations: President of the Florida Association of School Administrators, President of the Community College of Denver (CCD) since January 2021.

Dr. Sunem Beaton-Garcia

Doctor

She holds a Doctorate in Education from Nova Southeastern University. She is also the President of the Northern Region and the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at Broward College, as well as the Assistant Chair of the Public Services Department of the College/University Library at Broward College. In addition, she has a doctorate in curriculum design and educational technology.

Christopher Mcguire

Master's Degree

He holds a Master's degree in Educational Management from Florida International University (USA). He is also the Vice Principal of Oriole Elementary School; Director of the Online Training Program at Broward County Public Schools, and an instructor in the Strategic Planning Department at Silver Trail Middle School and Madie Ives Elementary School.

Jennifer Warren

Master's Degree

With many years of experience in the education sector, Ms. Jennifer applies her expertise to train leadership skills for the faculty team to adapt teaching methods suitable for students from different cultural backgrounds. As a member of the leadership team at Ivy Global School, Ms. Jennifer always strives to collaborate with students, families, and staff to create a quality learning environment that honors Vietnamese culture while implementing the American education system at Ivy Global School.
