COMPREHENSIVE ABILITY ASSESSMENT

Entrance Assessment Format

The entrance assessment is conducted online on IGSC's testing platform. Students can flexibly choose a suitable time to complete the test within the given deadline.

The assessment is designed to comprehensively evaluate students' language proficiency, thereby determining their current level and recommending an appropriate study program.

Assessment Structure

The entrance assessment consists of 3 main parts:

A. Multiple-Choice Test

The multiple-choice section evaluates foundational language skills and knowledge, including:

  • Part 1: Grammar – Assesses grammatical knowledge.

  • Part 2: Vocabulary – Assesses vocabulary scope and word usage in context.

  • Part 3: Math – Assesses mathematical thinking and the ability to apply math concepts in English, suitable for the student's age and curriculum.

  • Part 4: Reading – Assesses reading comprehension and information processing skills.

  • Part 5: Listening – Assesses English listening comprehension skills.

B. Speaking Assessment

The Speaking section is conducted online to evaluate communication skills, pronunciation, fluency, and the ability to use language in real-life situations.

C. Writing Assessment

The Writing section is tailored to the age, proficiency level, and registered study program of each student. Depending on the target group, the writing task may include:

  • Sentence writing

  • Paragraph writing

  • Essay writing

This section aims to evaluate the ability to express ideas in writing, grammatical accuracy, vocabulary usage, and content organization skills.
